Overview
Responsible for development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs providing equitable internal compensation and benefits for employees with appropriate reference of marketplace. Studies and analyzes wage and salaried jobs and prepares description in standardized form. Conducts compensation surveys and participates in compensation surveys conducted by other organizations. Develops, recommends and writes job evaluations and compensation procedures. Assists in the administration of merit programs. Administers employee benefits programs. Responsible for compliance with HIPAA. Reviews possible additions and modifications in plans and makes recommendations to management. Coordinates enrollment activities and education; ensures proper entitlement prior to enrollment. Reviews workers' compensation and lost time claims. Responsible for submission of state and federal compliance reports, including the OSHA 300 posting. Administers absence management programs (FMLA and PTO); life and disability insurance communications, and coordinates 403 (b) plan and prior pension plan activities. Coordinates and participates as representative on the safety committee. Assists employees with benefits education and resolution of issues.

Responsible for updating the HRIS system for new benefit plans, build benefit plans and rules in Lawson.
Administers Health Benefits for the organization; including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental options.
Coordinates Open Enrollment; including education, communication, and data transfer to vendors.
Review internal structure of job titles and salaries. Make recommendations for improvements and consistency where appropriate.
Conducts and documents investigations of worker injuries.
Coordinates workers' compensation program. Represents organization in employment matters such as workers' compensation hearings.
Advises Supervisors and Management on legal, fair, and consistent, treatment of staff; provides interpretation of policies related to absence management and temporary periods of disability, provides specialized training in areas such as the American's with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, ERISA, USERRA, and other employment related laws.
Develops, implements, and recommends vendors to meet benefit needs.
Qualifications Experience Requirements: 5 years - Benefits administration - required
2 Years - Knowledge Of Compensation Principles - Required
2 years - Management/Supervisory experience - required
Education: Bachelors - Management, Business, Psychology, Liberal Arts, Organizational Development, or Human Resources - preferred or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible HR/benefits experience considered
