Job Title:
Part-Time Leasing Consultant
Salary:
$15 to $17 per hour. 20% housing discount available.
Schedule:
Saturday required plus some weekdays. Max 30 hours per week.

About the Position Responsible for coordinating all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. Interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect.
Ensure excellent customer service to prospective and current residents.
Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork.
Ensure model apartments are in touring condition.
Orient prospective and current residents to the property. Process renewal paperwork and deliver documentation monthly.
Maintain accurate records of traffic activity.
Follow up with all prospective residents via phone, mail, or email.
Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments.
Inspect apartments prior to resident move-ins and ensure move-in condition by coordinating with maintenance.
Create and maintain confidential resident files.
Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and timely.
Ensure all open and close procedures are completed daily.
Assist with ongoing resident relations throughout tenancy.
Responsible for shopping competitive properties.
Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Assist with processing work order requests for residents and ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
Support management by providing clerical support such as answering phone calls, filing, and processing property invoices.
May be asked to assist with planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention.
Comply with all company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High school diploma required.
Minimum one year previous sales experience preferred.
One year previous residential leasing experience preferred.
Skills and Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred.
Basic level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management.
Sensitivity to confidential matters required.
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail.
Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.
Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance required.
Must comply with all safety requirements.
Required to complete and pass Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within first 30 days.
