The Spear Group Full-Time Opportunity with Corporate Benefits Position: Capital Project Manager / Engineer: Warehouse w/ cold box – manufacturing (pharma) Position Summary: The Spear Group has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Capital Project Manager to oversee pharma manufacturing warehouse space construction with a cold box/storage component. This Owner’s side Project Manager position, with warehouse space responsibility, is part of a pharma manufacturing campus major expansion /new construction /brownfield capital project. This Project Manager role is responsible for supporting our top-tier, global, pharma client by executing warehouse space project delivery. The PM will manage and contribute to the design, construction, stakeholder reporting, and qualification of the warehouse space. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage manufacturing adjacent warehouse build which has a cold storage / cold box area and safely achieve project objectives from conceptual design through operational verification / user hand over (end to end project cycle). Project Delivery: Deliver projects by managing project scope, schedule and budget while identifying and mitigating risks, all while prioritizing Safety First and Quality Always. Compliance: Lead with a disciplined, structured approach to project management based on industry compliance and owner company policies and procedures. Project collaborative communication and stage gate / project phase

reporting:

Develop and maintain effective communication and reporting tools and processes with the project team, governance teams, business partners/in‑house depts, vendors, subs, and other stakeholders. Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate and document scope changes, and implement safely with quality, speed, and value. Develop and track project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and provide updates to senior management. Support procurement of materials and services, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations. Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for project reviews and meetings. Maintain compliance with GMP, FDA regulations, and industry standards. End-to-End Project Leadership: Manage projects through their full lifecycle, ensuring delivery across scope, budget, quality, resources, risk, procurement, communications, and timelines. Strategic Execution: Implement projects in alignment with defined goals while balancing multiple priorities and initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and guide cross-functional teams, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and ensure alignment on deliverables. Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field (i.e. project management, construction management) 5+ years previous experience in capital project delivery dealing with industrial facilities or manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Previous experience on medium and large size capital projects Pharma manufacturing/warehouse facility or other chemical manufacturing /warehouse facility project experience Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus but not required Experience in the following areas: GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction, construction quality, project controls, the engineering disciplines, safety, scheduling The capacity to achieve results and influence through people Effective communication skills both written and verbal Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a multi-discipline project team Demonstrated willingness to embrace the concept of continuous improvement and be an agent for change Ability to work on site full time in the Kansas City, KS area Proficiency with project management technical tools like MS Project and digital project dashboards, scheduling and budget tracking tools.
