Leasing Consultant The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all aspects of leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations of a property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Property leasing and administration.

Regular/daily onsite attendance required.

Show, lease, and move‑in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour the community, and sign a lease.

Close sales: make appointments, generate leads, conduct tours, maintain model units, and conduct necessary follow‑up.

Complete all leasing paperwork before move‑in.

Assist with lease audits, walking units, and turn process.

Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data, responding to prospect leads within 24 hours.

Use established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and exceed leasing goals.

Perform various administrative tasks as needed.

Deal with resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure resident satisfaction.

Assist in developing and implementing resident retention programs (e.g., resident functions, special promotions, monthly newsletter).

Contribute to general upkeep and cleaning of office, common areas, and model units.

Assist in implementing annual marketing plan outreach.

Review and help complete market survey/analysis to generate ideas and formulate plans.

Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property, competition, and market conditions; complete weekly market survey report.

Manage excellent customer service and monitor service‑request turnaround and responsiveness.

Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition.

Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters.

Enforce community policies as delegated by the immediate supervisor.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Basic computer skills and understanding of on‑site software functions.

Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

Regular movement around the facility and between work sites, communication with others, and repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.

Ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools, etc.; remain in stationary positions, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

Occasionally move in different positions, work in tight or confined spaces, overhead positions, reach, adjust, or move objects up to 25 lbs. in all directions; lift or place objects up to 25 lbs.; operate machinery, power tools, vehicles, or golf carts; assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work; work overtime, weekends, night hours (emergencies); work in extreme temperatures or outdoors in precipitation and wind; work in flat and non‑flat terrain; and be exposed to hazardous chemicals.

Compensation & Benefits At Asset Living, compensation considers skill set, background, training, certifications, and other factors. The offer is dependent on the facts associated with each candidate’s relevant experience.
