Position Summary This person is responsible for underwriting, analyzing, and monitoring the financial condition and credit worthiness of individuals and businesses applying for commercial and real estate related loan requests. The position requires a strong understanding of financial statements, financial analysis, and cash flow projections.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Analyzes all relevant financial data and related material to prepare summaries and present facts concerning credit worthiness of businesses and individuals.
Preparing various credit related reports to include:
Memorandums of Review based on interim financial information to determine covenant compliance
Annual Reviews of existing relationships
Credit Memorandums for approval of new credit facilities or renewal of existing credit facilities. Includes working with Loan Officers to determine credit structure and terms. Requires knowledge of Bank’s Lending Policy and identification of exceptions to Policy, and analysis of financial statements and other information to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit, including background and industry risk and Applicant’s performance compared to similar businesses.
Prepare internal real estate evaluations for applicable loan requests
Assists training and development of Credit Analyst I

Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of accounting theory, including knowing the differences between GAAP, cash and income‑tax based accounting and their effects on cash flow analysis
Excellent understanding of business and personal financial statements and tax returns
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and organization skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with little supervision
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Microsoft Excel) and ability to learn other software related to financial spreads and monitoring of credit facilities
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum 3 years of credit analysis experience
Previous experience using Abrigo/Sageworks software is preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Professional office environment
