Position: Payroll Analyst (Hybrid, Memphis, TN) – posted by The Intersect Group.
Base pay range $70,000.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr
Job Responsibilities
Process weekly and biweekly payroll for multiple entities across several states.
Validate and import timekeeping data from systems.
Review and reconcile payroll journals; prepare intercompany allocations and reclasses.
Maintain accurate employee records (pay rates, deductions, benefits).
Calculate and process commissions, bonuses, and incentive pay.
Ensure compliance with payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
Collaborate with accounting for GL coding, month-end close, and payroll accruals.
Prepare management reports (labor summaries, overtime, PTO, commissions).
Research and resolve payroll discrepancies; respond to employee inquiries.
Assist with year-end processes (W‑2s, audits) and document procedures for efficiency.
Job Requirements
3–5 years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a multi‑entity environment.
Experience with commissions and variable incentive pay.
Proficiency in Paylocity, ADP Workforce Now, or similar systems.
Knowledge of multi‑state payroll tax compliance and FLSA regulations.
Strong understanding of job costing, GL integration, and accruals.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication.
