Finite & Business Analyst (Finance) This position is responsible for the USF Foundation's Fund Management processes. Review and process fund setup and maintenance, signer approvals, purpose changes, the annual Code of Ethics process and Advancement requests. The role also represents Fund Management in various meetings within the department and across colleges and in training sessions provided by the USF Foundation.

Responsibilities

Review all gift agreements, grants, scholarship criteria worksheets, and Fund Data Forms to ensure completeness and readiness for processing; work closely with Central Records for fund setup and gift transfers.

Collaborate with Development Officers and other Foundation staff to capture donor intent; verify fund completeness once established.

Handle inquiries from USF faculty, staff, administration, and Development Officers; interpret and enforce Foundation policy; resolve cross‑departmental issues.

Review and enforce changes to fund names, organization codes, and signers; facilitate purpose change processes.

Maintain and monitor the Fund Management system; manage general accounting functions including journal entries, transfers, gift moves, and account reconciliations; generate required reports.

Coordinate with departments to close funds, transfer remaining balances, and notify Central Records.

Work with internal and external auditors on documentation of fund signers, changes, and reports related to donor intent.

Present Foundation Fund Management information in training sessions to educate other departments; maintain up‑to‑date training materials.

Provide customer service related to fund balances, histories, purposes, and signers; meet regularly with departments to review fund accuracy and maintain relationships.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 0–2 years of fiscal work experience; or a degree in another field with 2 years of fiscal experience; or four years of fiscal experience.

Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively.

Excellent customer service skills.

Knowledge of accounting, consolidated financial reporting, reconciliation of multiple accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.

Project management experience preferred.
