DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Serve as the labor relations coordinator, responsible for managing and overseeing labor-related matters.
Collaborate with supervisors and managers to address performance, attendance, and interpersonal issues, applying Commonwealth and agency policies, disciplinary history, and contract language to ensure consistent disciplinary recommendations and actions.
Supervise staff involved in timekeeping operations, review timekeeping procedures with payroll personnel, resolve related issues, and provide training to supervisors on the leave program.
Administer the grievance process and prepare responses that accurately present management’s position while aligning with past practice, policy, and contract requirements.
Organize regular labor-management meetings, interpret union contracts, personnel policies, and regulations, and represent management in negotiations to resolve grievances.

Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 45‑minute lunch.
Telework: not an option.
Salary: starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth or equivalent Federal government title), or
Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor’s degree, or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
