Overview The Learning & Development Specialist will leverage instructional design, project management, communication, and creative skills in support of building and executing best‑in‑class learning and development programs and processes that align with our organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage instructional design projects, conduct needs analysis and design programs to overcome performance gaps.

Create engaging instructional materials including curriculum design, self‑paced, virtual and instructor‑led learning modules and related materials that deliver clear objectives and real‑world understanding.

Build content to support training and program initiatives such as job aids, FAQ’s, communication templates, web pages and branding.

Recommend and advocate non‑instructional solutions when appropriate in a consultative approach.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to elicit, synthesize, build and validate training materials.

Determine and identify prerequisites based on subject matter, learner needs and organization.

Participate or lead multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.

Deliver training sessions, both in‑person and virtually, to diverse audiences, ensuring an interactive and impactful learning experience.

Analyze characteristics of existing and emerging technologies and their use in instructional environments; quickly learn and apply new concepts and technologies.

Develop and implement formative and summative evaluation plans of L&D initiatives; manage the evaluation process, create success measures and reports on business impact and other training evaluation measures.

Qualifications

BS or MS degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or Management.

3+ years of experience in a training capacity involving curriculum design and development.

Experience in the construction industry or familiarity with its unique challenges is a plus.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Competencies

Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Project management expertise with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.

Proven instructional design skills and knowledge of adult learning principles; strong graphic design skills are a plus.

Comfort with emerging technologies and digital learning platforms.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and instructional design tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Canva, Vyond, Adobe Pro.

Compensation Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as internal equity and alignment with the team.

Pay ranges from $73,000.00 to $115,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
