We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Hotel Accountant
to join our luxury hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both
Rooms and Food & Beverage (F&B) operations , with a deep understanding of hotel accounting processes. This role requires hands‑on experience with
general ledger accounting ,
month‑end close , and
reconciliation work , ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the
general ledger , including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee the month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company standards and GAAP.
Perform detailed account reconciliations and variance analyses for income statements and balance sheet accounts.
Collaborate with department heads across
Rooms, F&B, and other operating departments
to analyze financial performance and ensure accurate cost allocations.
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical insight into trends and variances.
Support external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Utilize
M3
(preferred) or similar hospitality accounting systems for daily transactions, reporting, and reconciliations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum
3-5 years of accounting experience , preferably within the
hospitality industry
(hotel operations required).
Strong understanding of
hotel accounting principles , including Rooms and F&B financials.
Proficiency in
M3 accounting software
strongly preferred; experience with other ERP systems a plus.
Solid knowledge of
GAAP ,
GL accounting ,
month‑end close , and
account reconciliation processes .
Advanced
Microsoft Excel
skills required.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
