EXPERIENCED SEASONAL SENIOR TAX PREPARER

EXPERIENCED SEASONAL SENIOR TAX PREPARER Topp & Lau is searching for a reliable seasonal/temporary tax preparer for the 2025 tax filing season. You will work with a team of CPAs to accurately prepare and file a variety of Individual, Corporate and Fiduciary Income Tax returns. Semi‑flexible schedule of 20 - 40 hours per week within regular business hours of 9AM to 5PM, Monday - Friday. Some overtime/weekends may be necessary as we near the filing deadline. Due to the complexity of many of these returns, the sensitivity of the information, and our internal review process, remote work cannot be accommodated, but the environment is friendly and supportive.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years paid independent experience in preparation of complex tax returns at a senior level in a public accounting and tax practice setting

Knowledge of tax laws and concepts

Proficiency in preparation of Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, etc. and schedules

Intermediate level Excel, including the use and creation of formulas and functions

Ability to work within a team to ensure accuracy

Critical thinking, problem solving and research skills

A college degree is a plus, but not required. A background in accounting will be helpful. Prefer experience with Lacerte tax preparation software.
