Job Overview Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities.
Collaborates with hiring managers and leadership to understand the organization’s current and future talent needs based on goals and objectives. This includes assessing skills gaps, anticipating industry trends, and understanding changes in job requirements and roles.
Creates job descriptions and specifications: assists in crafting compelling job descriptions that accurately reflect the responsibilities, required skills, competencies, and desired attributes of the ideal candidate.
Develops and implements effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
Utilizes various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals to identify and attract potential candidates and build talent communities.
Promotes the organization’s brand, culture, values, and opportunities to potential candidates to make the organization an attractive place to work.
Participates in career fairs and other recruitment events.
Candidate Assessment and Selection
Reviews resumes, applications, and portfolios to assess candidate qualifications, skills, and experience against the requirements of the role.
Conducts and coordinates interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders to assess candidates’ abilities, including preparing interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
Evaluates the candidates objectively based on job-related criteria, skills, and qualifications, and avoids unconscious biases. This may involve using assessment tests, skill-based interviews, and structured evaluation methods.
Conducts thorough background and reference checks to verify candidate information and ensure they meet organizational requirements and standards.
Manages the offer and onboarding process for new hires. Recommends initial wage or salary determinations for new hires and/or transfers and works with the Total Rewards compensation team for final decisions.
Extends formal job offers to selected candidates, outlining terms including salary, benefits, start date, orientation, and other onboarding requirements.
Works directly with agencies providing specialized and contracted staff to place in positions of need, maintaining the accuracy of required pre-employment contingencies for the position. This may include international incumbents and travelers.
Compliance and Candidate Experience
Ensures all recruitment practices adhere to employment laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, particularly regarding anti-discrimination, data privacy, and fair hiring practices.
Partners with leaders and provides training and feedback to hiring managers in key recruitment areas such as interviewing techniques, candidate selection, and sourcing.
Provides a positive and engaging experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process, guiding new hires through onboarding to ensure a smooth transition.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate records and reports, managing commitment and retention agreements.
Utilizes data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, identifying trends, and optimizing the hiring process for efficiency and effectiveness. This can involve tracking metrics such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, cost-per-hire, and retention rates.
Leverages technology and other HR software to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
Regularly reviews and refines talent acquisition processes and strategies based on data analysis, candidate feedback, and evolving organizational needs.
Education Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Preferred Field of Study: Human Resources or Business.
Experience Previous Experience Requirements: Two (2) years’ experience in the field or professional experience preferred. Knowledge and experience of HRIS for recruitment purposes, and experience with data analytics preferred.
Skills Language Skills – Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.
