HR Manager | Whitehall, MI
Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing, technical, and administrative roles.
Oversee employee relations, including grievance resolution, disciplinary actions, and conflict management.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures compliant with labor laws and industry regulations.
Administer performance management programs, including reviews, goal setting, and professional development.
Coordinate and facilitate mandatory safety training and operational skills development programs.
Manage compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive practices for all employees.
Support the health and safety committee, ensuring HR compliance with plant safety protocols.
Conduct workforce planning to address staffing needs and skill gaps within the manufacturing facility.
Recommended Qualifications
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and EHS regulations relevant to manufacturing.
Proven expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and talent acquisition for diverse workforces.
Ability to strategically partner with plant leadership to drive HR initiatives that support operational goals.
Experience developing and implementing HR policies and programs specific to a production environment.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with HR in a unionized manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their HR implications.
Demonstrated success in promoting a strong safety culture in an industrial setting.
Proficiency in Spanish or other languages common in manufacturing workforces.
