About Aspire Transitional Care Community Aspire Transitional Care is a transitional and skilled nursing community located in Flagstaff, AZ. The community offers individualized service with a luxurious boutique environment and is an affiliate of The Peaks, a Senior Living Community and The Peaks Health & Rehabilitation.
Roles & Responsibilities
Handle pre-boarding/onboarding tasks and coordinate new hire orientation to ensure an exceptional first-day experience.
Monitor team member surveys (new hire, pulse, exit) and follow up with appropriate individuals.
Assist with FMLA/ADA processes through the 3rd party administrator and provide support to team members as needed.
Work with leaders on employee relations or performance issues and provide daily HR support to team members.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of personnel records and HRIS system according to policy and compliance with state and federal requirements.
Ensure training and education are completed per job requirements and facilitate communication between departmental management regarding credentialing renewals.
Perform periodic audits of personnel records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Assist in communicating and interpreting the team member handbook.
Educate team members on benefit options and enrollment processes.
Support HR functions including new company initiatives, day‑to‑day follow‑up, and all HR administrative needs.
May supervise 1–3 non‑exempt team members.
Perform other human resources related duties as assigned.
Business Office Functions (10%)
Responsible for collection of accounts receivable in adherence to company policies.
Maintain daily facility census and reconcile discrepancies with other departments.
Manage cash, including scanning deposits, monitoring petty cash, overseeing resident trust (if applicable) and bank reconciliations.
Respond to billing questions, resolve requests from residents and other parties, and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
Stay current with company, federal, and state billing guidelines.
Perform other financial related duties as assigned.
Payroll Management Functions (10%)
Keep employee records up to date by processing status changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, wage increases, and new hires in a timely fashion within the HRIS system.
Maintain payroll data while ensuring departments submit and approve timesheets within acceptable deadlines.
Review timecards after manager approval, verify available hours, calculate miscellaneous pay, and enter deductions.
Set up new team members in the Time and Attendance system.
Knowledge and Critical Skills
Make independent decisions and follow instructions.
Handle personnel matters tactfully with residents, families, and external agencies.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, families, and visitors.
Speak, write, and understand English effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) billing systems.
Education and Experience
Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
High school diploma or general equivalency required.
1–3 years’ experience in an office environment.
Prior experience in human resources leadership in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Knowledge of basic generally accepted accounting principles.
