Network Engineer
to join our Technical Staffing Division for a contract to hire opportunity onsite in
Brunswick, GA . This is a contract to hire opportunity with benefits. We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance a complex, home‑grown network environment. This role requires deep hands‑on experience with Extreme Networks technologies and strong core networking fundamentals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a custom, non‑standardized infrastructure and collaborating closely with internal teams to maintain, secure, and optimize the network.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Extreme Networks switching and routing
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues in a home‑grown network environment
Configure, maintain, and optimize network performance, availability, and scalability
Implement and support network security solutions, including Palo Alto firewalls
Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management initiatives
Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and best practices
Work cross‑functionally with security, systems, and application teams to support business requirements
Min USD $52.00/Hr.
Max USD $63.00/Hr.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with Extreme Networks (this is a must‑have)
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
Experience supporting custom or home‑grown network environments
CCNA or Arista certification (active or previously held)
Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting, or operations)
Preferred Qualifications
Palo Alto certification (PCNSA, PCNSE, or similar)
Experience integrating Extreme Networks with security platforms
Exposure to multi‑vendor network environments
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
