Essential Job Duties

Recruit students throughout North Carolina and the surrounding area to the program. This will include, but not be limited to, attending scientific meetings, visiting colleges and universities, and reaching out to various student organizations.

Monitor the progress of students during the two years of their Master’s program.

Assist with organizing and teaching a two‑week onboarding program to begin two weeks before fall classes start in August.

Maintain the program website and develop online media to advertise the program.

Facilitate student interactions through informal meetings and organize a seminar series for incoming first‑year students.

Requirements and Preferences

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree in biological science (Chemistry, Physics or related field) with a minimum of 2 years of student recruitment or graduate admissions experience.

Experience mentoring college students

Experience with networking/social media

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on program requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Organized

Previous work experience in program organization (preferred)

Valid driver’s license (required)

Recruitment Details Anticipated Hiring Range: $31/hr
