You will be the Systems Administrator Senior for our team. Our team is responsible for delivering elite IT services—including hardware and software troubleshooting, system installation, and comprehensive documentation—to Special Operations Forces within a DoD‑approved enclave.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Administrator Senior, you will be responsible for provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining mission‑critical systems and infrastructure while driving continuous innovation through research and development.

Your responsibilities will include

Install, rebuild, and configure servers, hardware, peripherals, services, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and operational requirements. Monitor, backup, and archive log files; perform daily backup operations and verify data integrity and availability of all systems. Develop and document step‑by‑step procedures, create and maintain OS images, and automate routine administrative tasks. Review vulnerability‑scan reports, apply security patches, and maintain compliance with established security policies. Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical research to resolve complex hardware/software issues and support Special Operations Forces infrastructure.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

An advance understanding of workstations and servers relationship within a DOD Network Environment. This includes an advance understanding of DISA STGS, HBSS, ACAS and other required DOD security parameters. Active security clearance at the Secret or higher level. A strong understanding of VMWare, ESIXI, VSphere and VSANS deployments. Must have the temperament and interpersonal skills suitable to be embedded into a military organization. Ability to take general direction and follow through to task completion including solution development, planning, execution and status reporting. Work effectively as part of a team.

Desired Skills

Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired. Advanced knowledge of Windows Server /desktop Operating Systems (Win 10) Managing in excess of 50 Windows Server infrastructure Managing deployments/rollouts Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft HyperV/Virtual Server A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking Group Policy design and configuration Microsoft IIS administration and configuration Linux/UNIX administration Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration Ability to troubleshoot network issues including backbone infrastructure issues Strong communication and documentation skills Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length Positive, self‑motivated. Team Player a must.

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
