We are seeking a reliable and professional

Security Officer to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property. In this position, you will maintain a visible presence, monitor surveillance systems, respond to incidents, and enforce hotel policies to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on the premises.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular, random patrols of the interior and exterior premises, including guest floors, public areas, parking lots, and all entry/exit points, to deter security-related incidents and identify potential risks.

Monitor and operate surveillance cameras (CCTV) and alarm systems, reporting any unusual or suspicious activity immediately to the supervisor on duty or management.

Respond promptly and professionally to all security incidents, including theft, disturbances, accidents, fire alarms, and medical emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

Enforce hotel rules, policies, and procedures with a calm, problem-solving demeanor, including managing access control and handling disruptive patrons.

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests and staff with inquiries, directions, and safety concerns, maintaining a helpful and approachable presence.

Prepare and submit detailed, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, property damage, and safety inspections using company software/logs.

Perform routine safety checks on fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Assist with guest room lock-outs and access control while strictly maintaining guest confidentiality and security protocols.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience: Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with guests and writing detailed reports.

Disposition: Ability to remain calm, composed, and make sound decisions during emergencies or high-pressure situations.

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform general physical activities, including standing/walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.

Availability: Must have flexible availability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.

Legal Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Certifications: Current state security license/registration is required if mandated by local regulations. CPR and First Aid certification are a plus.
