We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a team building data solutions for the transportation industry. In this role, you’ll design and maintain cloud‑based data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and operational insights across the organization.
You’ll work with modern data platforms in a collaborative environment, solving real‑world problems and helping deliver scalable, reliable data systems. This is a hybrid position based in downtown Phoenix.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain cloud‑native data pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric
Implement batch and real‑time data ingestion using a medallion architecture
Write and optimize complex SQL for data transformation and integration
Support and enhance legacy SSIS and SQL Server–based data platforms
Build scalable, maintainable, and testable data solutions
Qualifications Required
5+ years of experience building data engineering solutions
Strong SQL and Python skills
Hands‑on experience developing and automating ETL pipelines
Solid understanding of data lake architectures
Preferred
Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud‑based ETL tools
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
Knowledge of event‑driven and batch processing architectures
Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
Experience with data science or machine learning, including feature engineering or model deployment
