Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Architect to design, implement, and manage our Snowflake data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, cloud data solutions, and data engineering. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure our data infrastructure is optimized, secure, and scalable to meet our business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Snowflake data warehouse architectures to support various business needs.

Create scalable and efficient data models and workflows, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage.

Develop best practices and standards for Snowflake architecture and ensure adherence across projects.

Lead the implementation of Snowflake solutions, including setting up Snowflake environments, schema design, and data pipelines.

Integrate Snowflake with existing systems, data sources, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Oversee the migration of data from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Snowflake.

Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, including query performance tuning, resource allocation, and cost management.

Implement strategies for data partitioning, clustering, and caching to enhance performance.

Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Implement and manage Snowflake's security features, such as access controls, encryption, and data masking.

Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.

Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and obtain feedback.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Snowflake architecture, data models, and processes.

Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate team members and end-users on Snowflake features and best practices.

Identify and resolve issues related to Snowflake environments, data quality, and performance.

Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Snowflake systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Stay up-to-date with Snowflake updates, new features, and industry trends.

Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance data architecture and operations.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with at least 6+ years explicitly working with Snowflake.

Experience with data integration & migration.

Experience in data modularization and ERP systems.

Manufacturing, Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.

Expertise in Snowflake architecture, including data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and performance tuning.

Proficiency with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, dbt).

Strong understanding of data security and compliance best practices.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred):

Snowflake SnowPro Certification.

Cloud platform certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, etc.).

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
