Overview
CAE Analyst II – Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD)
Location:
Livonia, MI Pay Rate:
$45.00/hr
The
CAE Analyst II (Multi-Body Dynamics)
develops and analyzes dynamic system models to understand
motion, kinematics, and system behavior
in automotive, aerospace, entertainment, and industrial applications.
Responsibilities
Build multi-body dynamics models using
MSC ADAMS
or similar tools
Run simulations, analyze convergence, and interpret results
Generate technical reports and support customer presentations
Perform hand calculations to validate kinematic and dynamic results
Develop automation scripts using
Python, VBA, or C
Manage simulation files and documentation per company standards
Support multiple projects simultaneously
Collaborate with CAE teams supporting NVH and durability analysis
Support development of new modeling techniques and processes
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Coursework in
kinematics, dynamics, vibration, and numerical methods
1–3 years of MBD modeling experience
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and mechanisms
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
Experience with
ADAMS, MATLAB, SIMPACK
Experience with
full vehicle MBD models
ITAR-compliant work authorization
Correlation with real-world test data
