Quality Manager – Fluid Sealing Industry
We are partnered with a Global Player in the Fluid Sealing Industry. Seeking a Quality Manager to assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, policies, documentation, data, and customer‑specific requirements. Reporting to the Plant Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Quality Assurance
Conduct problem‑solving activities to resolve internal and external nonconformances with permanent irreversible corrective action; the main responsibility.
Develop, implement, and oversee quality‑assurance activities including finished‑goods inspections, audits, testing of raw materials, in‑process materials, quality‑control plans, procedures, and standards. Conduct part inspection: layout, in‑process, final, and receiving using mechanical inspection tools.
Quality Management System (QMS)
Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
Ensure effective integration of the QMS into all operational processes.
Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
Customer Focus
Act as point of contact for quality‑related customer concerns and complaints.
Develop corrective and preventive actions to address customer feedback and improve satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards affecting the manufacturing industry.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation, including records of inspections, audits, and test results.
Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
Supplier Quality Management
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of incoming materials.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance.
Other Requirements
Problem‑solving experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience with measurement systems including CMM and gage R&R studies.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to perform multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications.
