Base Pay Range $23.00/hr - $27.00/hr

The Certified Group provides analytical testing and regulatory guidance services in the food & beverage, dietary supplements & NHP, cosmetics, OTC, personal care, tobacco, cannabis, nicotine and hemp industries.

We are currently looking for a Contract Research Associate I to join our growing team!

Essential Functions

Conduct all testing procedures in accordance with standard operating procedure and quality guidelines.

Accurately generate and transcribe pertinent data.

Interact well with other department members to successfully accomplish department objectives.

Manage time and resources to maximize operational efficiency.

Proactively seek ways to improve processes and better utilize departmental resources.

Execute scheduled tasks and assignments accurately.

Perform appropriate quality control tasks pertinent to the department including proper documentation and record keeping, in compliance with accrediting agencies.

Perform maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments, including inspection, calibration, cleaning & sanitization, as directed.

Participate in special projects as assigned by the Department Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

BS degree, preferably in Biology/Microbiology and appropriate industry specific experience.

Good conceptual basis in microbiology with proven ability to perform basic microbiology techniques.

2 years relevant laboratory experience.

Critical thinking – use of logic and reasoning to trouble shoot issues and evaluate effectiveness of resolution.

Organization skills – ability to utilize time, energy, resources, etc. in an effective manner.

Training – complete all training as assigned and aid in the training of newer department members.

Communication skills – speaking, reading, writing, and listening, to effectively communicate pertinent information.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and LIMs experience preferable.

Must have ability to distinguish colors and manual dexterity.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Physical Demands

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components.

Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens.

Noise level varies from quiet to loud.

Temperature varies from hot to cold.

Interactive and fast-paced team-oriented tasks.

Overnight travel is required at the discretion of management.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Color vision and depth perception.
