Administrative / Legal Assistant
Downtown Knoxville | First Horizon Plaza
The law firm is a rapidly growing litigation firm based in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee. Our practice focuses primarily on criminal defense and plaintiff-side civil litigation/personal injury. We are a small firm on the rise, known for moving fast, working hard, and fighting aggressively for our clients.
We are currently seeking a full-time Administrative / Legal Assistant to join our team and grow with us.
Position Overview This position is a critical role within the firm. You will often be the first point of contact for clients and the public—both on the phone and when they walk through our doors. The right candidate will be highly organized, professional, personable, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a professional and confident manner
Greet clients and visitors; serve as the face of the firm
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate client meetings
Maintain and organize client files (digital and physical)
Assist attorneys with administrative tasks and basic legal support
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
Manage deadlines and help keep the office running smoothly
Perform general office and administrative duties as needed

Strong communication and customer-service skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information
Reliable, proactive, and able to take initiative
Experience & Qualifications
Prior experience in a law office is preferred but not required
Administrative or customer-service experience is a plus
Familiarity with office software (email, scheduling, document management)
Willingness to learn and grow with the firm
Compensation & Benefits Pay is negotiable and based on experience. This position offers an opportunity to grow with a firm that is expanding quickly in a professional downtown Knoxville office located in First Horizon Plaza.
