Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bilingual (Spanish/English) Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic Fort Lauderdale team. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll support Family Law attorneys through all phases of litigation, from drafting pleadings and coordinating discovery to preparing financial disclosures and assisting with trial preparation. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of family law experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Responsibilities
Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits and coordinating witnesses.
Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits.
Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers.
Coordinate with process servers and manage discovery.
Conduct legal research and organize findings to support hearings and trials.
Prepare and analyze financial disclosures and statements.
Maintain organized, accessible case files and track deadlines.
Communicate and meet with clients in both English and Spanish to gather case information, address procedural questions, and provide exceptional service.
Utilize legal tech tools such as Clio, Family Law Software, Zoom, VoIP phones, and timekeeping platforms.
Qualifications
3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
Must have great time-management skills and organizational skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar.
Candidate will receive preference if completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education.
Must have completed an ABA‑approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies; a Bachelor’s degree desired.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Proficiency with legal research databases, Microsoft Office, and case management systems.
Comfort with standard office equipment (scanner, copier, printer).
A proactive, independent mindset with a collaborative spirit.
Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
Compensation $65,000 - $80,000 per year
