Job description:
Overview Electrical Supply house in business 100 years is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining a safe working environment. This is a hands on position.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping
Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity
Manage and lead a team of warehouse supervisors and associates, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and resolve any operational issues
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels
Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and generate reports
Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including inbound/outbound shipments, inventory counts, and product returns
Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify areas for improvement
Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule shipments and optimize delivery routes

Requirements
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in a distribution center environment
Strong knowledge of logistics processes and best practices
Mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards
Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-This is a hands on physical position - must be able to lift over 50lbs.
