Provider Analytics is a comprehensive data and analytics practice that manages the full data life cycle for ECG’s proprietary surveys, client data, benchmark models, and internal solutions. The team delivers the analytics foundation used by hundreds of the nation’s largest health systems and across hundreds of ECG consulting engagements. Your Opportunity with ECG: Data Analytics Manager

As a data analytics manager, you will play a pivotal role in setting direction, overseeing execution, and ensuring the quality and scalability of analytics solutions. You will work closely with practice and division leadership to guide the vision, prioritization, and delivery of analytics capabilities that enable superior client service, robust internal operations, and innovative technical advancements. Your Responsibilities May Include

Solution Development and Stakeholder Engagement

Overseeing the development, enhancement, and long-term roadmap of provider analytics solutions that accelerate insight generation across the firm. Leading requirements gathering and strategic visioning sessions with consulting units to ensure provider analytics solutions align with business needs. Translating consultant and client needs into actionable project plans, balancing timelines, resources, and strategic priorities. Influencing solution design decisions, ensuring usability, scalability, and methodological integrity. Supporting business development by providing analytics-driven insights and contributing to proposals and client conversations. Data Acquisition, Preparation, and Warehousing

Directing and supporting tool development and approach for acquiring, aggregating, and validating data from national surveys, proprietary research, and client submissions. Establishing best practices and quality standards for data ingestion, transformation, and modeling across the practice. Overseeing intake workflows, documentation, and warehousing structures to ensure consistent, reliable data availability. Establishing expectations and processes for finalizing, reporting, and archiving survey and client-submitted datasets. Advanced Analytics and Modeling

Guiding the application of proprietary methodologies, including CPT and RVU calculations, practice profiling, and benchmark development, ensuring accuracy and methodological rigor. Reviewing and approving analytical outputs, models, and dashboards developed by data analytics team members, ensuring they meet technical and client standards. Identifying emerging analytical needs across the practice and firm and steering the team’s development of new models, tools, and frameworks. Ensuring analytics work supports strategic decision-making for consulting leaders and survey clients. Technology Integration and Automation

Overseeing the architecture, development, and governance of relational databases in SQL Server or Fabric. Providing strategic direction for integrating Power BI, SQL, SharePoint, and other cloud-based systems into scalable, secure workflows. Approving Power BI development frameworks (Power Query, M, DAX) and ensuring proper testing, deployment, and life cycle management. Directing the creation of Power Apps and Power Automate flows to improve operational efficiency and automate recurring processes. Methodology Innovation and Enablement

Shaping the team’s innovation agenda, driving new automation techniques, optimizing processes, and reducing reliance on third-party vendors. Leading the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of firmwide benchmark tools, methodologies, and technical templates. Developing training materials and leading internal education sessions that elevate the firm’s analytics literacy. Mentoring data analytics leads and analysts, providing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities. Partnering with senior leadership to shape the future direction of Provider Analytics and advancing the firm’s data strategy. Our Expectations of You

Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or other quantitative curriculum; master’s degree in business administration and/or master’s degree in a health-related field preferred. 6+ years of healthcare operations experience either at a healthcare consulting firm and/or provider-based organization. 1+ years of people management experience required. Experience using Access, SQL, Python, or R required. Experience using data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau or Power BI) required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Comfort with manipulating and synthesizing large datasets. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Job Locations

The estimated base salary range for this job is $130,000 – $150,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG’s pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG’s benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) matching program; unlimited PTO; and other wellness programs. About ECG
