Position Overview PropagationTechnicians play a crucial role in our organization, reporting toPropagation SupervisorandCultivation Manager,focusing on the meticulous care of cannabis plants duringVegetative Phase. They execute a range of operations related to plant care, such as cloning, pruning, transplanting, executing the companies integrated pest management procedures and comprehensive inspection for signs of deficiency or infestation.PropagationTechnicians are also responsible foraccuratelabeling and tracking of plants using traceability protocols. In addition, they contribute to the post-harvest process, including harvesting, post-harvest processing, trimming, and packaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Mother Room Responsibilities

Perform care for all Mother Room plants, including defoliations, bottoming, transplants, topping, and taking clones.

Keep the mother room organized and follow procedures given by the Propagation Supervisor to ensure plants are in the proper places in the Mother Room foroptimalgrowth and health.

Keep the mother room clean andorganized, andperform regular inspections of plants tomonitor fornutrient issuesor infestation, and report all findings to the Propagation Supervisor.

PropagationRoom Responsibilities

Perform care for all Propagation Room plants, including burping, feeding, and progression through the Clone Care by Day SOP.

Keep the Propagation Room organized and ensure all clone trays are always labeled properly, following guidelines set by the Compliance Manager for recordkeeping.

Perform regular inspections of the clones including plant material, roots, and rooting plugs tomonitor forsigns of disease, infestation, or nutrient issues.

Follow procedures set forth by the Propagation Supervisor and Cultivation Manager for quarantining new plants and genetics to ensure a clean facility free of pests, diseases, and non-permitted pesticides.

Cultivation Practices

Implementcultivation practices asindicatedby department supervisors, following established guidelines and protocols.

Plant Health Maintenance

Maintain the health of immature, vegetative, and flowering plants through close observation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Inventory Accuracy

Ensure the accuracy of plant inventory, including strain names and plant tag numbers, to uphold traceability standards.

Plant Care

Perform plant maintenance, feedings, propagationtasksand Integrated Pest Management (IPM) according to set schedules and SOPsdeterminedby the Director of Cultivation.

Facility Hygiene and Pest Control

Keep thegrowfacility free of pests, viruses, and diseases byutilizingproper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and adhering to biological controls outlined incultivationSOPs.

Sanitization

Regularly sanitize tools, equipment, pots, and production areas in thegrowfacility tomaintaina clean and contamination-free environment.

Personal Hygiene

Abide by high personal hygiene standards to prevent contamination and ensure a sterile work environment.

Pesticide Application

Apply pesticides safely and effectively, wearingappropriate PPE, after thorough training and instruction from the Director of Cultivation.

Data Recording

Check and recordaccuratedata daily, including pesticide applications, plant scouting findings, and any other information required by management.

Issue Resolution

Observe and promptly inform management of issues with plants and/or equipment tomaintainoptimalcultivation conditions.

Production Area Maintenance

Break down and set up plant production areas afterharvest, including deep cleaning of cultivation areas, sanitizing crop equipment, and washing down rooms.

Quality Standards

Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness inmaintainingplant health and traceability, upholding the company’s standard for quality.

Harvesting

Participate in the harvesting process, and ensure each harvest is completedin a timely mannerwhile adhering to all biosecurity measures.

Post-Harvest Processing

Assistin post-harvest activities, including drying, curing, and initial processing of harvested plants.

Trimming

Conduct trimming and manicuring of plants to meet quality standards.

Packaging

Contribute to the packaging process, ensuring finished productscomply withall company and state guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

Previousexperience in cultivation or relatedfieldis preferred.

Knowledge of plant care, pest management, and cultivation techniques.

Knowledge of propagation techniques and familiarity with taking care of cannabis clones.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment tomaintaininga sterile work environment.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to following company guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

Ability to pass a background check as required by state regulations.

Must be able to stand onfeetfor 10 hours a day.

Must be able to lift 50lbs.
