Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator
HDR, a company dedicated to an inclusive and employee‑owned culture, seeks a Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator. The role supports the planning, preliminary, detailed design, assessment, and construction oversight of water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and stormwater projects, directly contributing to public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience.
Responsibilities
Support planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water/wastewater and stormwater pump facilities under instruction from the Project Engineer or responsible charge.
Support condition assessments and rehabilitation planning for existing pump station infrastructure.
Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis, and study‑level reports for treatment, distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner.
Perform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables.
Perform field investigations, site visits, and construction observation to ensure compliance with design documents.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain.
Experience with water/wastewater/water resources projects, focusing on treatment, pump stations, pipelines, or stormwater.
Local candidates are preferred.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience.
Microsoft Office experience.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Commitment to active participation in an employee‑owned culture.
