Based in New York or Washington D.C., the Application Analyst will be responsible for the full lifecycle of key enterprise applications—ensuring reliability, performance, security, and continuous improvement. This role involves administration of client/server platforms, architecture design, integration development, automation, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders across the firm.
Primary applications and platforms include:
Finance: Aderant, Chrome River, Time Entry
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Desktop & Application Services.
Application Management
Administer, configure, and optimize assigned applications to ensure stability, performance, and user adoption.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions for complex technical challenges.
Lead application lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching and ongoing improvements initiatives.
Design and Implementation
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
Architect systems, integrations, and workflows that align with firm standards and best practices.
Lead or support application deployments, automation initiatives, and new technology implementations.
Perform comprehensive testing and quality assurance to ensure successful rollouts.
Risk and Security
Ensure all applications meet security standards, data protection requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation activities.
Maintain documentation related to compliance, incident response, and security controls.
Vendor and Project Management
Serve as the primary technical liaison to software vendors, tracking issues and recommending enhancements.
Evaluate new software products and technologies in collaboration with vendor partners.
Review vendor performance, SLAs, and contract terms to support strategic decision‑making.
Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across internal teams and external partners.
Documentation and Training
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, SOPs, workflows, and user guides.
Develop and deliver training for end users, technical teams, and business partners.
Ensure documentation remains current following changes, upgrades, and new feature releases.
Qualifications
Full‑stack troubleshooting skills, leveraging deep system and application log analysis to diagnose and resolve root‑cause issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft SQL, T‑SQL, Windows and Linux OS, and core networking concepts.
Familiarity with legal applications, security policies, and the packaging and deployment of applications.
Familiarity with ITIL best practices (incident, change, problem management).
Experience with Lean or Agile methodologies.
Certifications related to Microsoft technologies, iManage, or Litera products.
Experience supporting and administering Office 365 applications.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience supporting and administering enterprise applications within professional services, legal, or regulated environments.
Experience managing client/server applications and business‑critical systems in a global environment.

The annual compensation range for this position is $130-150k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
