Position Summary The Coordinator Load Planning performs weight & balance calculations to ensure safe and efficient use of JetBlue aircraft. The Coordinator takes proactive measures to avoid potential weight & balance issues, in-turn reducing delay risk, and ensures that the aircraft load is within acceptable center of gravity condition for takeoff, flight and landing.

Essential Responsibilities

Perform weight and balance related activities on JetBlue Airways flights

Plan and communicate payload data and compartment load plans on a timely basis

Manage the processing of flights including weight restrictions and closeout procedures

Communicate with and supports Station Operations, Flight Crews, System Operations and Dispatch as it relates to weight and balance activities

Work with Dispatch and Flight Crews to resolve payload, fuel, and weight restriction issues

Ad-hoc administrative duties, as directed

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

One (1) year of airline Operations experience or educational background in aviation

Must be available to work shift work, which includes nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts of varying lengths

Ability to work well with others, perform under pressure and under fixed time constraints

Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Available for overnight travel (10%)

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Holds Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Dispatch license

Two (2) years of JetBlue Airport and/or Ground Operations experience

Experience in determining aircraft weight and balance limitations

Experience using Sabre applications

Crewmember Expectations

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation

The starting pay for this position starts at $23.56 per hour. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
