Systems Engineer – Booz Allen Hamilton Booz Allen Hamilton is Hiring a Systems Engineer. The role focuses on designing, testing, and deploying architectures that include VMware ESXi infrastructure, Windows domains, and Linux servers.

Key Role • Design, test, and deploy architectures that include VMware ESXi infrastructure, Windows domains, and Linux servers.

• Develop design documentation.

• Conduct technical information system security testing in support of the appropriate security risk management processes, using security assessment and technical testing efforts to identify and patch vulnerabilities.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications running on Windows and Linux server operating systems.

• Demonstrate knowledge of data center design best practices, rackmount equipment installation and maintenance, cable management, NAS, DAS, and storage protocols, including NFS and iSCSI.

Basic Qualifications

Experience installing and configuring Windows domains.

Experience setting up virtual infrastructure leveraging VMware ESXi.

Experience setting up and configuring Linux servers.

Experience hardening Windows servers, Linux servers, and VMware using DoD STIGs.

Experience analyzing network traffic with tools such as Wireshark or TCPDump.

Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 certificates and certificate authorities.

Ability to accurately depict network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.

Secret clearance.

High school diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications

Experience working in coordination with the commercial mobile industry to assess mobile technologies for the U.S. government.

Experience working in classified spaces to implement solutions.

Experience implementing certificate-based encryption on network devices.

Knowledge of CSfC Capability Packages (CPs).

Ability to independently initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks.

Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients.

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.

VMware Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Solution Developer Certification.

Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation and Benefits Salary is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 annually, determined by location, experience, and contract specifics. Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, retirement, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Full‑time employees eligible for the full benefits package. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
