Role Overview We are seeking an experienced
Linux Administrator
to support and manage enterprise-level Unix/Linux environments. This role requires strong hands‑on experience with system administration, shell scripting, automation, troubleshooting, and cloud fundamentals. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across Unix/Linux systems, Azure environments, and scripting tools such as Python and PowerShell.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain
Linux/Unix servers
in production and non‑production environments.
Perform system monitoring, OS patching, performance tuning, log analysis, and root cause troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain
Unix shell scripts
for automation, task scheduling, and system operations.
Use text‑processing tools such as
awk, sed, grep
for log parsing and data manipulation.
Implement and support infrastructure tasks involving
file systems, permissions, networking, and security hardening .
Work with
Azure environments
for VM provisioning, monitoring, and system operations (basic Azure administration).
Create scripts using
Python
and
PowerShell
to automate operational workflows.
Support change management, documentation, and configuration tracking.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
Maintain high availability and reliability of Linux systems within enterprise standards.
Required Skills & Experience
6–8+ years
of hands‑on experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
Strong command of:
Unix/Linux OS concepts and administration
Shell scripting (bash/ksh) and text‑processing (awk, sed, grep)
Experience automating tasks using
Python
and
PowerShell .
Familiarity with
Microsoft Azure
– compute, VM operations, storage basics, and monitoring.
Understanding of programming and scripting fundamentals, version control practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities in large‑scale environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in enterprise or production operational support roles.
Knowledge of infrastructure automation and monitoring frameworks.
Exposure to DevOps concepts or CI/CD is a plus.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience Range 6–10 years
across Unix/Linux administration, scripting, Azure, and automation tooling.
