Responsibilities
Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
Guide the team on how to leverage self-organization.
Help the team self-organize to fill intentional gaps left in Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Assess Scrum maturity and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
Remove impediments or guide the team to remove them by finding the right personnel.
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment.
Facilitate the team getting work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating work.
Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information.
Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Provide all support to the team using a servant‑leadership style and lead by example.
Required Skills / Experience
10+ years of overall IT experience.
At least 5 years in Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Lean) and a SAFE Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is desirable.
8+ years with end‑to‑end IT project, program, portfolio management solutions.
Strong project management experience across Waterfall, iterative, and Agile methodologies.
Experience in client‑facing, fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
Coordinate with Scrum team and Product Owner daily throughout the sprint for clear backlog items.
Hands‑on or working experience with Agile tools like Horizon, Riley, etc.
PMI certification is desirable (not mandatory).
Facilitate daily Scrum, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings.
Expert in estimation and planning, creating useful, reliable, and practical plans.
Forecast deliverables per iteration based on evidence.
Coach Agile practices; coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
Coach development team for self‑organization and cross‑functionality where Scrum and Agile are not fully adopted.
Track and remove impediments.
Passionate about championing the customer.
Experience with backlog tracking, burn‑down metrics, velocity, task definition.
Proficiency in processes, tools, and applications in information systems development and project management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Formally communicate and report to senior management.
Financial industry experience required (AML, economic sanctions domain experience an advantage).
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Self‑motivated to work in a dynamic setup.
Operate in fast‑paced environments assimilating large amounts of info quickly.
Desire to take ownership and run the show end‑to‑end.
