Job #3013167 Global Level II Systems Engineer – Schriever AFB. Participate in 24/7 support, on-site and remote maintenance for globally dispersed application suites.
Base Pay Range \$85.00/hr – \$95.00/hr
Responsibilities
Diagnose, mitigate, troubleshoot system issues.
Lead or participate in system troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance activities (on-site and remote).
Serve as subject‑matter expert for applications, providing Level 2 troubleshooting, break/fix solutions, and preventive maintenance.
Plan, coordinate, direct, and manage individual projects with minimal supervision.
Automate system provisioning and enhance enterprise monitoring.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience with Windows Domain Controllers, PKI infrastructure, and managing certificates.
Experience with Red Hat or other Linux-based server administration.
Automated Patch Management for Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Strong system administration, monitoring, application management, and automation skills.
Knowledge of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and Operating Instructions (Ols).
Experience with virtualization and storage technologies such as Nutanix or VMware, and automation tools (Ansible, Bash, Perl, PowerShell).
Data mining and analysis, database administration, endpoint management.
Familiarity with IBM Data Power products, especially troubleshooting certificates.
Certifications Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) and an active Computing Environment (CE) certification. These must be maintained for the entire contract.
Clearance Active TS clearance is required.
Work Schedule Mon – Fri. Potential surges and on‑call duty; evenings and weekends may be required during system anomalies or tests.
Location Schriever AFB.
