Job Overview The position requires an individual with a wide range of skills and demonstrated experience in MBSE in support of combatant command strategies, plans, operations, assessments, and Department of Defense objectives.

Responsibilities

Integrate Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and techniques that enable analysts to connect space with other warfighting domains.

Ensure integration of MBSE provides the groundwork to transition M&S tools easily to an MBSE environment for future development and networking to other data sources.

Develop environment to provide a development platform for simulation using MBSE models, tools, and data (Red Threat data sets, Blue Force laydowns, White Commercial constellations, Unified Data Library, etc).

Provide knowledge to support data storage, configuration control processes, and multi‑level security development within the environment.

Define, design and develop system requirements.

Assess architecture and current hardware limitations, define and design complex system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

Work with USSPACECOM to create a library of “Space‑based” modeling products that support the USSPACECOM MS&A lab facilities and components.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship.

Master’s Degree in computer science, modeling and simulation, operations research, or a related field with 8+ years of progressively complex systems design experience including hardware/software integration of complex systems.

Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of progressively complex systems design experience including hardware/software integration of complex systems.

Associate’s Degree with 13+ years of progressively complex systems design experience including hardware/software integration of complex systems.

Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Understanding of military space operations (Space Domain Awareness, C2, SATCOM, PNT, OPIR, ISR, MW, OSC, DSC, MD, etc.).

Demonstrated knowledge and expertise on advanced capability concepts, future trade space characterization, future force design MS&A, and evaluation of near‑peer competitors via models and simulation.

Ability to apply concepts of cloud‑based hosting and Amazon Web Services for government support.

Ability to apply concepts of block definition diagrams of space systems and behavior models in the form of finite state machines to support space M&S effects for on‑orbit and terrestrial warfighting.

Knowledge of modeling and analysis using mathematical/quantitative methods.

Proficiency in any of the following programming languages or statistical packages: R, Python, MATLAB, SAS, JAVA, JMP, Excel VBA, STORM, SEAS, Power BI, Tableau, Qlic, SPSS, PSPP, SymPy.

Ability to coordinate with others to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives.

Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially when communicating technical information to audiences with varying backgrounds.

Ability to brief and interact with senior‑level officers (e.g., GO/FLAG) and senior civilians.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous M&S and staff experience on a CCMD, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD, etc. is highly desired.

Salary Range – Colorado $140,000‑160,000
