Base Pay Range $66,951 – $85,138 per year.
Duties
Support the Microsoft 365 (M365) environment: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and related applications.
Create and manage shared mailboxes, Teams, and SharePoint sites.
Administer third‑party applications such as Box.com, DocuSign, Dell Apex, and Proofpoint.
Assist with M365 projects and app support (Planner, Forms, Power Apps, etc.).
Prepare and analyze reports.
Test new features and functionality.
Support project rollouts related to OneDrive, DLP, sensitivity labels, and other M365 initiatives.
Participate in on‑call duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Non‑Competitive Qualifications:
A bachelor’s or higher‑level degree in any field and one year of experience in information technology.
A bachelor’s or higher‑level degree, including or supplemented by 15 credit hours in computer science courses.
60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science and one year of professional experience in information technology.
A total of two years of experience in information technology.
Competitive Minimum Qualifications:
Currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title, eligible under the 55 b/c program, or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 52.6, 70.1, or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.
For transfer to an SG‑18 title, one year of permanent competitive, or 55‑b/55‑c service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG‑16 or above.
Must not result in a second, consecutive transfer with an advancement of more than two S‑grades or one M‑grade.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in information technology, including Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
Demonstrated coursework in Computer Architecture.
Demonstrated coursework in Cloud Computing.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Active Directory, Azure, and ServiceNow.

The Office of the New York State Comptroller supports telecommuting where reasonable. New employees may be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks. After this period, telecommuting may be allowed up to 5 days per pay period.
