The Logistics Engineer plays a critical role in designing, optimizing, and supporting best-in-class fulfillment operations across WSI / Kase’s 3PL network. This role drives operational excellence by leading new client solutions design, reviewing pricing models, developing process flows, and implementing data-driven improvements. Partnering closely with Operations, IT, and Client Services, the Logistics Engineer ensures new business launches, reporting tools, and process documentation are executed with accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Duties and Accountabilities

Solution Design & New Account Launches

Lead engineering design for implementations: facility layout, process flows, slotting, equipment/storage. Conduct time studies, capacity modeling, and throughput analysis. Create and manage engineering project plans from discovery through go-live. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless startups.

Pricing & Cost Modeling

Review pricing proposals and validate assumptions. Validate labor forecasts, equipment needs, and space utilization. Partner with Finance on cost-to-serve and margin analysis.

Systems Integration, Reporting & Analytics

Coordinate with IT/WMS teams on system capabilities, configurations, and reporting tools. Develop dashboards and P&L scorecards. Ensure data integrity across reporting platforms.

Process Documentation & Training Development

Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process guides. Support creation of training materials and job aids. Ensure documentation is standardized and scalable.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Apply lean and Six Sigma tools. Lead or support Kaizen events and corrective action processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of warehouse layout design, slotting, and process engineering. Experience with WMS/WCS systems and reporting. Proficiency in data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau). Expertise in warehouse design, engineering, layout optimization, and labor modeling. Strong knowledge of WMS, RF processes, and 3PL customer requirements. Demonstrated ability to improve KPIs, reduce costs, and scale operations. Proven project management capabilities. Strong communication and cross-functional skills. Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field. 3+ years in fulfillment, warehousing, or 3PL engineering. Physical Capabilities and Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day, at a desk in front of a computer screen. Proficient use of a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, as well as the ability to type, scroll, and click efficiently. Occasional light lifting and carrying of objects up to 20 pounds, such as office supplies or small equipment. Ability to move within an office, including occasional walking, bending, reaching, and climbing short flights of stairs. Clear communication, both verbal and written, including phone conversations, virtual meetings, and face-to-face. Adequate vision to read documents, use computer screens, and navigate office space. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise, such as printers, telephones, and office conversations. Compensation

$135k - $170k Hourly/Annually Benefits and Total Rewards
