This is an Information Technology Operations based role that supports our Lima Engine Plant which builds the 2.7/3.0L Nano and 3.5/3.7 D3X engines that go into our top selling Ford and Lincoln products such as F-150, Explorer, Bronco, Expedition, Navigator, Aviator, Nautilus and more. Our plant also supports the machining of blocks, cranks, and heads for both I4 and V6 EcoBoost. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a member of the Site IT team and assist in reimagining how site IT lends support to the manufacturing team, as we modernize the plant floor with new technology to reduce complexity and increase efficiency.

Responsibilities

Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant (work flexible hours, days, nights and weekends).

Provide technical support (I.T. Applications, Infrastructure, operating systems, end‑user productivity tools) to plant business customers throughout the manufacturing plant.

Interface with Business IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts.

Support plant floor systems/PDO teams in resolving incidents; manage escalations and provide assistance to support teams and other global teams (DBA, Server Operations, Ops Control, Network Operations) when necessary.

Focus on integration and long‑term maintenance of applications and hardware.

Assist the team lead with managing assignments and workload.

Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation.

Support local network equipment in a Cisco‑based environment.

Support local servers in both physical and virtual environments on Windows and Linux based ecosystems.

Support IIOT deployments and expansion efforts utilizing iOS and Android based equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

5+ years' experience in an IT support capacity.

Willingness to work in a high‑pressure production environment and flexible work schedule is essential.

Ability to identify, investigate, and solve problems with minimal supervision.

Experience with Windows 11 OS.

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing experience.

Plant floor automation experience (Control systems, PLCs, etc.).

Experience with server administration – Windows (2012+) or Linux.

Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches, including basic staging, troubleshooting, and cable installation.

Knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Active Directory/ADFS.

Experience with VMware vSphere environments.

Experience with Android and/or iOS devices (iPhones, iPads).

Experience with macOS.

Experience with Office365, including SharePoint.

Experience with office automation.

Experience with FIS, QLS-CM, QTS, QWX, PDS, LMA, OBL, QDAS.

Experience with Dell PCs, Dell laptops, HP printers, and HP servers.

This position is a salary grade 7. This position is a range of salary grades 5‑8.
