Job Summary We are seeking a qualified professional individual to fill the role of Calibration Technician. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the internal calibration of manufacturing equipment and measurement gauges, reporting to the Quality Manager. This full-time position is in Salt Lake City, Utah and will be 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM).
Primary Responsibilities
Work independently to perform a wide range of calibration tasks on equipment including Pressure Transducers, Thermocouples, Pi Tapes, Torque Wrenches (both manual and electric), Oven controllers, Oven temp sensors, Calipers, Micrometers, Hygrometers, Fixtures and Dies, Mandrels, Gauges and dials, Depth Gauges, Viscometers, scales, Dial indicators, etc.
Assist with setting up calibration, system, and diagnostic procedures for all measuring equipment.
Verify calibration of measuring equipment. Perform diagnostic and repair tasks, as required.
Maintain primary and/or intrinsic calibration standards, as well as secondary and/or working calibration standards.
Work with Quality Compliance Department to build and maintain calibration schedules.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience)
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of A.S., preferably in Electrical, Electronics, or Engineering Technology, or 5+ years’ related experience.
5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Experience in repairs, and electronic troubleshooting, including troubleshooting to a component level.
Experience with electronics and precision hand tools.
Experience with understanding specifications and shop mathematics.
Preference given to candidates with high-level understanding of reading schematics, wiring diagrams, performing test/calibration procedures, and diagnostics.
Preferred knowledge and experience using GageTrak calibration software.
Preferred computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, and Word).
