Overview
Prismecs is seeking a highly qualified
HSE Coordinator
to drive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across power plant operations. This role provides safety leadership, ensures adherence to environmental and occupational health standards, supports company KPIs, and collaborates cross‑functionally to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. The HSE Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Director of HSE and VP of Operations.
Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership & Compliance
Develop and implement safety policies in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable local/international regulations.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace risk and strengthen safety awareness.
Maintain and deliver training programs per regulatory and operational requirements.
Provide coaching, technical guidance, and mentorship on HSE programs and corrective actions.
Audits, Reporting & Incident Management
Conduct internal and external safety audits; prepare formal reports with corrective & preventive action plans.
Oversee Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO) program implementation, training, and periodic audits.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to regulatory bodies.
Participate in accident/incident investigations and analyze trends to recommend corrective improvements.
Perform risk assessments and maintain all HSE documentation for new bids and tenders.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and Operations to achieve plant and corporate objectives.
Support HSE plans, procedures, and mobilization activities for contract start‑ups.
Promote a culture of safety compliance and proper use of all safety equipment.
Additional Duties
Serve as an on‑call resource for emergent safety concerns.
Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced safety qualification strongly preferred.
5–10 years of HSE experience in field or power plant environments.
Proven experience as HSE Coordinator in multisite operations.
Proficiency with HSE reporting systems (ISNetworld, PEC, or equivalent).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrated credibility mentoring teams and building positive working relationships.
Ability to remain on call for emergency response needs.
Self‑motivated with a proactive, solutions‑driven approach.
