A well-established water and wastewater treatment contractor operating across Kentucky and Tennessee is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to help lead its growing portfolio of municipal treatment plant and heavy civil infrastructure projects.
This organization delivers technically complex W/WW treatment facilities, pump stations, and process-heavy civil works ranging from
$5M to $150M+ . The company is financially strong, 100% ESOP, and known for its integrity, strong client relationships, and highly technical project teams.
Position Overview The
Project Manager
will oversee all aspects of water and wastewater treatment projects in the Nashville region. This includes project planning, scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, procurement, and leading teams from award through closeout.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, engineering partners, field teams, and owners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard. This is a key role in a growing operation with long-term advancement potential.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership
Lead full lifecycle management of W/WW treatment plant and heavy civil projects
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
Oversee subcontractors, procurement, cost tracking, and project documentation
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reporting
Ensure safe, high-quality execution in collaboration with field leadership
Client & Team Collaboration
Serve as primary point of contact for owners, engineers, and partners
Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field crews to align project execution
Support project forecasting, staffing needs, and resource planning
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients and subcontractors
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience with a GC on water, wastewater, or process-mechanical civil projects
Strong understanding of treatment processes, mechanical systems, pumps, piping, concrete, and civil/site scopes
Proven success delivering projects
$10M–$100M+
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
