Position Summary Manufacturing Process Definition & Improvement focuses on manufacturing operational improvement and cost savings to improve the organization's profitability and efficiency including: Analyze designs, methods and internal manufacturing processes. Develop strategies and initiatives for operational efficiency. Implement process improvements and changes in product design and manufacturing methods. Implements continuous improvement initiatives using various Lean methodologies and principles (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Kaizen, etc.).
Responsibilities
Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals
Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures
Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
Nice to Have
Previous experience using Analytical software (PowerBI and related programs)
Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems
Experience in Quality Engineering
