The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems for production machinery, support equipment, buildings, and facility systems. This role supports both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and minimal downtime. Responsibilities
Electrical & Controls Maintenance Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems Perform work in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes Install and service switchgear, motors, transformers, and frequency drives Test electrical systems for safety and proper operation Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and control systems Automation & Programming Program, troubleshoot, modify, and repair PLCs, CNC machines, robotics, and servo drives Write and modify ladder logic and logic control programs Develop and maintain HMI applications Upload/download PLC and HMI programs Configure network communications and Ethernet protocols Integrate new processes into existing equipment Mechanical & Systems Support Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components Assist in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and facility-related issues Apply corrective actions to restore equipment functionality Training & Team Support Participate in ongoing technical training as directed Assist in training maintenance team members on proper equipment care Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and reliability Required Technical Experience
Industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred Strong knowledge of low- and high-voltage systems Experience with PLCs, robotics, and motion control systems Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs preferred Experience troubleshooting Kawasaki robots preferred Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to safely use hand and power tools Attention to detail and commitment to safety Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision Work Requirements
Willingness to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shutdowns Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled and industrial environments Comfortable working in dirty environments (graphite exposure) Reliable transportation required Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English Compliance Requirements
Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures Must pass drug screening, background check, E-Verify, and physical examination Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
Electrical degree, diploma, or technical certification State Journeyman Electrician license (current or expired) Seniority level
