Treasury Management Business Account Specialist

Position Summary
The Business Account Specialist is responsible for servicing the Bank’s business clients with banking needs and providing support to the Treasury Management department. This position acts as a liaison with sales staff, technical specialists, and lending staff to ensure high levels of service delivery to all customers – internal and external.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Customer Service
Portray a positive company image and engage in professional and friendly communication with customers.
Clearly understand the key elements of customer service and actively work to exceed customer expectations in every interaction.
Actively listen to customer needs and inquiries to determine appropriate recommendations and service actions.
Refer any customer questions regarding products or services to the appropriate person.
Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts.
Engage each customer in-person and by phone to understand customer needs and provide product and service recommendations to assist customers in achieving their financial goals.
Assist commercial clients on deposits, loans, and credit card related issues.
Collaborate with Commercial Lenders and other team members regarding any resolve or contact with the customers.
New Accounts & Lending
Knowledgeable and proficient in the account opening process for all deposit, credit, and certificate accounts, including checking, savings, money market, business accounts, overdraft, loans, and credit cards.
Compose, type, and mail customer correspondence, including certificate maturity notices, notices related to issues such as discrepancies, and outstanding unpaid items.
Analyze applicants’ financial status and credit to determine feasibility of opening new accounts loans.
Proactively cross‑sell additional products through referrals and outbound calling with the goal of building rapport and lifelong relationships with Bank customers.
Develop an in‑depth understanding of all consumer credit products and the ability to explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms on those services.
Treasury Management Services
Main point of contact for commercial clients’ treasury management servicing needs.
Research and resolve daily operational problems experienced by customers – internal and external, and explain treasury management products and services.
Provide customer support for Treasury Management products including ACH, Business Banker, sweeps, positive pay, remote deposit capture, wire transfers, and bill pay.
Implement new Treasury Management products for customers.
Educate customers and employees on security issues related to Treasury Management.
Joint sales consultation with Treasury Management Officer and clients on technical matters related to the utilization of Treasury products and services.
Participate on project team of new/enhanced product roll out.
Track activities as part of overall department efficiency tracking.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in similar job duties.
