Job Description Summary
The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an outstanding candidate to assist with coordinating all short‑term housing activities associated with curricular and clinical needs. This position will coordinate the curricular and clinical‑related housing needs of all students, residents, faculty members, and other care team members rotating in and out of Charleston and report directly to the Charleston GME Office’s Director of Education and Associate Designated Institutional Official.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement processes to address short‑term housing solutions for all constituent groups in the Charleston Division and for other MUSC markets rotating into Charleston (35%).
Serve as primary liaison between the department and internal/external constituents such as training programs, clinical department administrators, and legal, managing vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and overseeing facility upkeep to ensure safe and well‑maintained temporary housing facilities (30%).
Assist in financial oversight, budget planning, and expense monitoring related to housing operations; identify and pursue funding opportunities and economies of scale to support short‑term housing (20%).
Perform other duties as required or assigned (15%).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
At least five years of work experience in an academic, healthcare, or hospitality/real‑estate environment.
Graduation from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently, effectively with all levels of personnel, and strong analytic, problem‑solving, organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
