Job Summary The Residential Framing Supervisor leads and oversees framing crews on residential construction projects. This role ensures all framing work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with construction plans, local building codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily residential framing operations
Lead, schedule, and assign tasks to framing crews
Read and interpret residential blueprints, framing plans, and specifications
Ensure framing work meets quality standards and local building codes
Coordinate with production manager, general manager, inspectors, and subcontractors
Plan framing sequences to meet project timelines and production goals
Conduct quality control checks on walls, floors, roofs, trusses, and sheathing
Enforce jobsite safety procedures and OSHA requirements
Identify and resolve jobsite issues, delays, or design conflicts
Maintain daily reports, time tracking, and progress updates
Qualifications
35+ years of residential framing experience
Previous supervisory or lead framer experience preferred
Strong knowledge of wood framing systems, roof framing, and layout
Ability to read and interpret residential construction plans
Familiarity with local residential building codes and inspections
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
