Perioperative Care Services.* Develops comprehensive operational performance improvement plans and executes those plans to completion and the expected outcome.* Disseminates and presents operational metrics to all levels of stakeholders, including departmental Chairs and UAMS Executive leadership teams, on a routine basis.* Identifies, utilizes, and generates perioperative-related evidence for operational performance improvement plans for various surgical and support departments.* Provides management support for product/process standardization projects designed to enhance operational efficiency, decrease cost, and improve clinical quality performance.* Utilizes and optimizes cost-saving software (such as Optime, Avant Garde, etc) in support of efficiency in work processes, regulatory compliance, and data capture.* Supports the financial and administrative team in the management of productivity, revenue, and budgetary metrics.* Manages tracking, reporting, and timely submission of performance against strategic plans (Vision 2029).* Manages the allocation, utilization, and optimization of block scheduling to enhance surgical efficiency, maximize resource usage, and meet departmental and institutional goals.* Provides operational reporting, inclusive of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of efficiency and productivity metrics.* Identifies and disseminates evidence for performance improvement activities.* Conducts on-site and front-line studies to gather objective and subjective information to support projects involving operational change and improvement* Leadership.* Serves as a resource to all Perioperative team members and stakeholders.* Provides performance improvement consultative support to the leadership team, physicians, residents, and all Perioperative Care Services employees* Is visible and accessible in the patient care setting.* Supports the financial and administrative team in the management of productivity, revenue, and budgetary metrics.* Key leader in perioperative shared governance structure.* Coordination/Facilitation of programs/projects.* Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities on short notice.* Attention to detail and ability to produce large data sets and reports with a high degree of accuracy.* Exemplary written and communication skills.* Strong acumen for technology, exposure to, and experience with various systems, databases, and analytical approaches.* Expertise in analytical approaches and quantitative methodologies, statistical analyses.* Experience in the management of large performance improvement projects* Interaction.* Daily interaction with ICE and Perioperative Care Services Stakeholders.* Regular interaction with surgeons and anesthesia providers.* Collaboration with Patient Safety/Relations and Quality Department via routine report submissions and special project requests.* May perform other duties as assigned.Ensures organizational data requirements are captured, reported, and managed according to UAMS regulations.At the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), we are looking for health care and non-health care professionals who believe in excellence as a way of life.
