We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Safety & Compliance Manager in New York !

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and continuously improve workplace safety programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, FDA, USDA, TSA, DOT, and airport-specific requirements).

Develop and maintain comprehensive safety policies, SOPs, and training materials.

Ensure all departments adhere to DO&CO compliance standards, corporate policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Conduct routine facility inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analysis, ensuring timely corrective actions.

Deliver engaging, hands‑on training on safety procedures, food handling, emergency preparedness, and compliance protocols.

Foster a safety‑first culture, empowering staff at all levels to identify risks, elevate concerns, and adopt safe practices.

Coach and support managers in implementing safety initiatives and driving accountability.

Prepare for, host, and support internal and external audits—including airline audits, airport authorities, regulatory bodies, and certification assessments.

Maintain accurate documentation for trainings, incident reports, safety meetings, inspections, and compliance logs.

Track KPIs and generate monthly compliance and safety performance reports.

Lead investigations for accidents, injuries, near‑misses, and compliance breaches.

Identify root causes and implement preventative and corrective actions.

Manage workers’ compensation reporting, follow‑up, and case coordination with HR and insurance partners.

Partner with cross‑functional leaders to integrate safety considerations into daily operations and new initiatives.

Support the rollout of new compliance systems, technology tools, or quality programs.

Lead or participate in cross‑functional safety committees and improvement task forces.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, Quality Assurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of safety, compliance, or food safety leadership experience—preferably in food production, hospitality, aviation catering, or manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

Experience with audit preparation and regulatory inspections.

Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Ability to influence behavior and drive cultural change across diverse teams.

Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.

All airport‑related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR §1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport‑issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.

Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.

Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.

What We Offer:

Pay range: $85,000 - $95,000 annually.
