Job Summary The NTC works closely with the Senior Underwriter and other members of the underwriting group to oversee, coordinate, and administer multiple single asset and portfolio files involving high profile clients and high liability assets nationally. S/He is required to exercise independent thinking and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently identify and escape any situation that may arise during the production, curative, escrow and closing process. This position works closely with the Senior Underwriter and outside attorneys.

Duties & Responsibilities

Independently coordinate with national examiners or workshare partners, as applicable, and customers to ensure the completeness and accuracy of orders on an ongoing basis.

Independently review title commitment to create an open items list identifying risks for the Senior Underwriter’s review (internally) (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, vesting, tax liens, judgments, and bankruptcies).

Independently prepare affidavits and other deal forms as requested or directed by Senior Underwriter.

Independently maintain accurate pipeline information with key dates, premiums, and file status.

Communicate and coordinate with outside parties, such as national underwriters, counsel, and clients, on transaction-related matters, under the guidance of the Senior Underwriter.

Maintain, save, and organize all incoming information to internal software, e.g. trackerpro and accutitle. Work with Senior Underwriter to ensure accurate record‑keeping, including the completion of all required fields (including but not limited to comprehensive notes).

Familiarity with the closing documentation required on national transactions (i.e. transfer tax forms/affidavits, mortgage affidavits, etc.).

Requests all documents needed to close each transaction in a timely manner (i.e., requests draft recordable documents, local forms, entity documents, mortgage payoffs, and any other required clearance proofs) at the request of Senior Underwriter.

Independently prepare high liability submissions, pro forma policies and invoices for Senior Underwriter review and approval.

Independently oversee the collection, organization and assembly of closing documents and coordination of closings and closers, as necessary.

Adheres to company policies and guidelines.

Assist Senior Underwriter with general tasks, as requested.

Returns all calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely manner.

Assists in training incoming coordinators.
